Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HB-502 + HB-501 is an investigational combination therapy developed by Hookipa Biotech for the treatment of HIV infection. This therapy utilizes two alternating viral vector-based immunotherapies (HB-502 and HB-501) designed to train the immune system to recognize and mount a response against HIV antigens. The approach aims to stimulate robust anti-HIV immunity in people living with HIV who are already receiving antiretroviral therapy (ART). The combination is administered via intramuscular injection every 8 weeks over a 24-week period, followed by an additional observation period for safety and immunogenicity assessment. As of now, this combination is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials[1][2][3].
