This combination immunotherapy regimen is being evaluated by Beijing 302 Hospital for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). The regimen consists of Hepatitis B Immune Globulin (HBIG), Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF), and a Hepatitis B vaccine, administered in conjunction with standard nucleoside analogue therapy. The therapeutic strategy aims to overcome immune exhaustion and achieve HBsAg seroconversion in patients who have already achieved HBeAg seroconversion. HBIG is used to neutralize circulating HBsAg, while GM-CSF acts as an adjuvant to enhance dendritic cell function and antigen presentation. The HBV vaccine is intended to stimulate a de novo HBV-specific immune response. This multi-component approach is designed to restore host immunity and improve the clinical outcome of chronic HBV infection.
