Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are a central component of a personalized immunotherapy protocol developed by the NeuroVita Clinic for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The therapeutic strategy utilizes two distinct applications of HSCs: allogeneic haploidentical HSCs for first-line therapy and autologous proteome-modified HSCs for second-line therapy. These cells are administered intrathecally in conjunction with a dendritic vaccine and cytotoxic lymphocytes. The autologous HSCs are specifically engineered based on the patient's unique tumor profile, using transcriptome and proteome mapping to identify key oncospecific proteins. By targeting these proteins, the therapy aims to regulate the reproductive and proliferative properties of tumor stem cells (TSCs), potentially converting a lethal neurooncological process into a chronic, non-lethal condition.
