Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hemoglobin determination + NaCl 0.9% bolus is a clinical trial intervention arm evaluated by the University Medical Center Groningen in patients undergoing elective hepatic resection. This intervention combines invasive hemoglobin determination (blood sampling) with the administration of a 0.9% sodium chloride (normal saline) fluid bolus. It was utilized in a clinical study (NCT01060683) to investigate the accuracy and reliability of continuous non-invasive hemoglobin monitoring (SpHb) via pulse co-oximetry during acute hemodilution caused by rapid fluid expansion.
