Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HemPhar** is an investigational oral full-spectrum *Cannabis sativa* extract supplied as oily drops for a placebo-controlled crossover study in children and young adults with severe spastic cerebral palsy. The preparation contains cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol at a 10:1 cannabidiol:tetrahydrocannabinol ratio, together with other naturally occurring cannabinoids. Its proposed antispasticity activity is mediated primarily through cannabinoid signaling, with delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol acting at cannabinoid receptors; the exact contribution of cannabidiol and minor cannabinoids to clinical effects has not been established. The product was supplied by PharmaHemp for the University Medical Centre Ljubljana-sponsored study NCT04634136. ([clinicaltrials.gov](https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT04634136))
