Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Healive is an inactivated vaccine developed by Sinovac Biotech for the prevention of Hepatitis A. It is derived from the TZ8 strain of the Hepatitis A virus (HAV), which is propagated in human diploid cells, inactivated with formaldehyde, and adsorbed onto an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. The vaccine is designed to stimulate the production of specific neutralizing antibodies, providing active immunity against HAV infection. It was the first preservative-free Hepatitis A vaccine developed in China and is approved for use in both children (from 1 year of age) and adults.
