Overview

The study evaluates the safety and immunogenicity of three separate, commercially available vaccines in HIV-exposed and HIV-unexposed children: a measles vaccine (CAM-70 strain), a varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, and a hepatitis A vaccine. These vaccines are administered as part of the South African immunization schedule to assess the impact of HIV exposure on vaccine-induced immune responses. The measles vaccine is administered at 6 and 12 months of age, while the varicella and hepatitis A vaccines are given as single doses at 18 months.
