Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Revac-B MCF (also known as Revac-B mcf) is a preservative-free (thiomersal-free) and cesium chloride-free recombinant Hepatitis B vaccine developed and manufactured by Bharat Biotech. It contains purified, non-infectious major surface antigen of the Hepatitis B virus (HBsAg) produced using recombinant DNA technology in yeast (*Pichia pastoris*). The vaccine is adsorbed on aluminum hydroxide to stimulate active immunization against infection caused by all known subtypes of the Hepatitis B virus. It is administered intramuscularly and is particularly indicated for newborns, infants, and individuals at high risk of exposure to Hepatitis B.
