Hepatitis B vaccine (60 ug) is a high-dose recombinant therapeutic vaccine used to stimulate immune responses in patients with chronic hepatitis B. In the Endeavor Study conducted at Tongji Hospital, this vaccine is utilized as part of a combination therapy regimen alongside interferon alfa-2b and interleukin-2. The treatment is specifically evaluated in entecavir-experienced patients who have achieved HBeAg seroclearance, with the goal of inducing HBsAg loss and achieving a functional cure. The 60 ug dosage is significantly higher than standard prophylactic doses, intended to overcome immune tolerance in chronic carriers by stimulating HBsAg-specific T-cell and B-cell responses.
