HER2 CAR-T cell therapy is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by YaKe Biotechnology for the treatment of HER2-positive solid tumors, specifically breast cancer. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically targets the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2/ErbB2). Upon re-infusion into the patient, these engineered T cells recognize and bind to HER2-expressing malignant cells, triggering T-cell activation, proliferation, and targeted cytotoxicity. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
