Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This therapeutic regimen consists of a staged administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulas—HeWeiYangXueFang and FeiPingFang—integrated with standard-of-care adjuvant chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). Developed by the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the regimen is specifically designed for patients with postoperative, driver gene-negative stage II-IIIa non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The treatment is divided into two phases: the chemotherapy phase, during which HeWeiYangXueFang is administered to tonify the stomach and nourish blood, and the immunotherapy phase, during which FeiPingFang is used to benefit Qi and Yin, detoxify, and resolve masses. The pharmaceutical components include standard platinum-based chemotherapy doublets and various ICIs such as pembrolizumab, nivolumab, or sintilimab. The goal of this integrative approach is to reduce the risk of recurrence and metastasis while improving the patient's quality of life and managing treatment-related toxicities.
