HGS1036 + cisplatin + etoposide

HGS1036 + cisplatin + etoposide is an investigational combination therapy for advanced solid malignancies. HGS1036 (also known as FP-1039) is a recombinant fusion protein that acts as a fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) antagonist, functioning as an FGF ligand trap to inhibit FGFR signaling. Inhibition of FGFR1 may retard tumor cell proliferation and induce tumor cell death[1][6]. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that forms DNA crosslinks, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Etoposide is a topoisomerase II inhibitor that induces DNA strand breaks and prevents cancer cell replication.
