Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of highly agglutinative staphylococcin (HAS) and vinorelbine. Vinorelbine is a third-generation vinca alkaloid chemotherapy agent that inhibits microtubule assembly, thereby blocking mitosis and cell division in cancer cells. It is primarily used to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and advanced breast cancer, either alone or in combination with other agents[1][2][3][7]. Highly agglutinative staphylococcin (HAS) is a biologic preparation derived from Staphylococcus aureus cultures; it has been used as an immunomodulator or adjunctive therapy in some regions for various cancers and infections, though its mechanism of action remains incompletely characterized in Western literature. The rationale for combining HAS with vinorelbine may be to enhance anti-tumor immune responses while directly inhibiting tumor cell proliferation.
