Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination regimen consisting of two investigational monoclonal antibodies—HLX07 and HLX10—together with the chemotherapeutic agents oxaliplatin and capecitabine. HLX07 (pimurutamab) is a monoclonal antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), designed as a biobetter to cetuximab. HLX10 is an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody that blocks the programmed cell death protein 1 pathway, enhancing immune-mediated tumor cell killing. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy agent that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Capecitabine is an oral prodrug converted to 5-fluorouracil at tumor sites, inhibiting DNA synthesis by blocking thymidylate synthase. This combination has been studied primarily for advanced metastatic gastric cancer and gastroesophageal junction cancer, as well as other solid tumors such as head and neck cancers[2][3][4]. The regimen leverages both immunotherapy mechanisms (immune checkpoint inhibition via PD‑1 blockade; EGFR inhibition) and cytotoxic chemotherapy.
