Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HLX07 + leucovorin + fluorouracil + oxaliplatin is an investigational **combination regimen** composed of HLX07, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR); leucovorin, a folinic acid; fluorouracil (5-FU), a pyrimidine analog antimetabolite; and oxaliplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapeutic. HLX07 blocks EGFR to inhibit cell proliferation and survival signaling in tumors overexpressing EGFR, commonly esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Leucovorin enhances the cytotoxic effect of fluorouracil, which inhibits thymidylate synthase, blocking DNA synthesis. Oxaliplatin forms DNA crosslinks, inducing cell death. The primary indication under investigation is advanced or metastatic ESCC[1][3][4]. The developer of HLX07 is Shanghai Henlius Biotech.
