Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HLX07 + paclitaxel + carboplatin is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. HLX07 is a novel recombinant humanized anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody developed by Henlius. It was engineered from cetuximab to reduce immunogenicity and enhance affinity by humanizing its Fab regions and minimizing glycan content. HLX07 targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and survival. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing agent that disrupts mitosis, while carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in cancer cells. The combination aims to leverage the targeted action of HLX07 with the cytotoxic effects of chemotherapy for synergistic antitumor activity[1][5][6].
