Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination probiotic product containing three well-characterized strains: Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001, Bifidobacterium breve M-16V, and Lactobacillus fermentum CECT5716. Each strain has been isolated from natural sources (HN001 from cheddar cheese, M-16V from infant gut, and CECT5716 from human breast milk) and is recognized for its safety in food applications. These probiotics are used to support digestive health, modulate the gut microbiota, enhance immune function in infants and children, and may help prevent or reduce the risk of conditions such as eczema (atopic dermatitis) and necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm infants. The mechanism of action involves colonization of the gastrointestinal tract by beneficial bacteria that outcompete pathogens, modulate immune responses (including Toll-like receptor signaling), suppress inflammation, and promote a healthy balance of intestinal flora[1][3][5][6].
