Overview

Hodgkin's antigens + GM-CSF is an investigational combination immunotherapy composed of tumor-associated antigens derived from Hodgkin lymphoma cells (Hodgkin's antigens) and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF). The rationale for this combination is to enhance the immune system’s recognition and response against Hodgkin lymphoma cells. GM-CSF acts as a cytokine that stimulates the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of myeloid lineage cells, including dendritic cells and macrophages, thereby improving antigen presentation. When administered with tumor-specific antigens such as those from Hodgkin lymphoma, GM-CSF can serve as an adjuvant to boost anti-tumor immunity by promoting more effective T-cell responses against malignant cells. This approach has been explored in cancer vaccine strategies but is not currently approved for routine clinical use.
