HPC16+ is an mRNA-based therapeutic cancer vaccine being developed by eTheRNA immunotherapies. The vaccine utilizes lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology to deliver mRNA encoding the E6 and E7 oncoproteins of Human Papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16). Designed for intravenous administration, HPC16+ aims to induce a robust, antigen-specific immune response by activating cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) that can recognize and destroy HPV16-positive tumor cells. The program is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of HPV16-associated malignancies, including cervical, head and neck, and anogenital cancers, and is intended for use as both a standalone therapy and in combination with PD-1 inhibitor checkpoint blockades.
