huai'er granules

Huai'er granules (also referred to as Huairu granules) are a standardized aqueous extract of the medicinal fungus *Trametes robiniophila Murr.*, which is approved in China for the adjuvant treatment of various malignancies. The extract contains a complex mixture of polysaccharides, proteins, and minerals that exert anti-tumor effects through multiple pathways, including the induction of apoptosis, inhibition of tumor angiogenesis, and modulation of the host immune system. Specifically, it has been shown to enhance the activity of T lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells while suppressing inhibitory signaling pathways such as Wnt/beta-catenin and PI3K/Akt. In clinical practice, it is frequently combined with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or immune checkpoint inhibitors (e.g., PD-1 inhibitors) to improve survival outcomes and reduce recurrence in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, and lung cancer.
