Overview
Huang'e Capsule (黄莪胶囊), marketed under the brand name Jin Qianliekang (金前列康), is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed by Zhejiang Conba Pharmaceutical. It is a multi-herb formulation containing Astragalus, peach kernel, Curcuma, rhubarb, and several other botanical ingredients. The drug is approved in China (approval number Z20110006) for the treatment of stage I and II benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and chronic prostatitis, particularly for patients presenting with qi deficiency, blood stasis, and damp-heat obstruction. Its therapeutic mechanism involves tonifying qi, improving blood circulation, and clearing damp-heat, which correlates with a reduction in inflammatory markers such as interleukin-8 (IL-8).
