Overview

This intervention consists of an intrauterine injection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) dissolved in a specific tissue culture medium (G.2plus, Vitrolife) administered approximately 7 minutes before frozen embryo transfer (FET). The Royan Institute is evaluating this protocol in a Phase 3 clinical trial to determine if it improves implantation and clinical pregnancy rates in women with primary infertility. hCG is a glycoprotein hormone that plays a crucial role in pregnancy maintenance and is hypothesized to improve endometrial receptivity when administered locally by modulating the uterine environment and enhancing the expression of implantation-related genes.
