Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a topical combination drug containing three active ingredients: - **Human epidermal growth factor (hEGF):** A recombinant protein that stimulates cell proliferation and differentiation, particularly in epithelial tissues. It promotes wound healing by accelerating re-epithelialization and tissue regeneration. - **Recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor (rbFGF):** A protein derived from bovine sources via recombinant technology, rbFGF stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts and endothelial cells, supporting angiogenesis and granulation tissue formation during wound repair. - **Sodium hyaluronate:** The sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan involved in maintaining extracellular matrix structure. Sodium hyaluronate acts as a hydrating agent, provides a moist environment for wounds, supports cell migration/proliferation, reduces inflammation, and may have mild antibacterial properties[1][3][4][5][6]. The combination is primarily used to accelerate the healing of acute or chronic skin wounds—including burns, ulcers (such as diabetic or venous ulcers), surgical incisions/grafts—and to improve scar quality. Each component contributes synergistically to enhance cellular repair processes.
