Drug intelligence / Profile preview
human interleukin-2 + TCB2c is an experimental **cytokine-antibody complex immunotherapy** composed of recombinant human interleukin-2 bound to TCB2c, a humanized anti-IL-2 monoclonal antibody derived from TCB2. TCB2c acts as an IL-2R\u03b1 mimetic that blocks IL-2 engagement with IL-2 receptor alpha CD25, thereby biasing IL-2 signaling away from CD25-high regulatory T cells and toward IL-2 receptor beta and common gamma chain expressing CD8-positive T cells and natural killer cells. In preclinical tumor models, this IL-2/antibody complex showed enhanced antitumor activity and synergized with checkpoint blockade such as anti-CTLA-4 or anti-PD-1 therapy. The program appears to be a preclinical oncology biologic intended to improve the therapeutic index of IL-2 by selectively expanding cytotoxic lymphocytes while minimizing Treg activation.
