Kedcom is a plasma-derived four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (4F-PCC) containing the vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors II, VII, IX, and X, as well as the antithrombotic proteins C and S. Developed and manufactured by Kedrion, it is indicated for the treatment and perioperative prophylaxis of bleeding in patients with acquired or congenital deficiency of these coagulation factors, such as those undergoing reversal of vitamin K antagonist (e.g., warfarin) therapy. Kedcom was evaluated alongside other 4F-PCCs in a retrospective real-world chart review sponsored by Takeda to assess hemostatic effectiveness and clinical practice patterns in adults receiving oral factor Xa inhibitors who underwent high-bleeding-risk surgery or experienced acute major bleeding.
