Drug intelligence / Profile preview
human rotavirus, live attenuated-Sanofi Pasteur, a Sanofi Company-diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis refers to a clinical trial regimen involving the concomitant administration of a live-attenuated human rotavirus vaccine (Rotarix) and the SHAN6 hexavalent vaccine (DTwP-HepB-Hib-IPV). SHAN6 is a fully liquid, ready-to-use vaccine developed by Sanofi Healthcare India that combines diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, whole-cell pertussis (wP), hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) conjugate, and inactivated poliovirus (IPV) antigens. This combination is designed to provide comprehensive protection against seven major pediatric infectious diseases. The regimen was evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial (NCT04429295) in Thailand to assess its immunogenicity and safety when given alongside other routine pediatric vaccines, such as the 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (Prevnar 13).
