Overview

This combination biologic therapy consists of exosomes harvested from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) and human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs). These exosomes are extracellular vesicles that carry a cargo of proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids capable of modulating the microenvironment of damaged tissue. In clinical applications for atrophic acne scars, the exosomes are applied topically as an adjunct to ablative fractional CO2 laser treatment. The mechanism involves the promotion of wound healing, reduction of post-laser inflammation, and stimulation of collagen remodeling to improve skin texture and scar depth. The development is currently being evaluated in a randomized controlled trial led by Ngô Anh Tuấn.
