Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell preparation is a cell therapy product developed by Shanghai Life Science & Technology (莱馥生命科技). It consists of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) harvested from human umbilical cord tissue. These cells are characterized by their ability to self-renew and differentiate into various cell types, as well as their potent immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties. The preparation is currently being evaluated in investigator-initiated trials (IIT) for the treatment of several inflammatory and fibrotic conditions, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), interstitial lung disease (ILD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and diabetic nephropathy. The therapeutic mechanism involves the secretion of bioactive molecules that modulate the immune response and promote tissue repair.
