This is a combination cell therapy consisting of human umbilical cord tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) and bone marrow mononuclear cells (BM-MNCs). hUCMSCs are multipotent stromal/stem cells isolated from the Wharton's jelly of the umbilical cord, known for their immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties. They can differentiate into various cell types and secrete factors that promote tissue repair. BM-MNCs are a heterogeneous population derived from bone marrow containing hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells, lymphocytes, endothelial progenitors, and some MSCs; they contribute to immune modulation and regeneration through paracrine effects and direct differentiation. This combination aims to leverage the complementary mechanisms of both cell types for enhanced therapeutic efficacy in regenerative medicine applications such as acute kidney injury or neuroinflammatory diseases[1][4][5].
