This combination therapy consists of human urinary kallidinogenase (HUK) and Shuxuening injection (SXNI), a standardized botanical extract from *Ginkgo biloba* leaves. Human urinary kallidinogenase is a glycoprotein enzyme that acts as a kininogenase, cleaving kininogen to produce kinins such as bradykinin and kallidin. These kinins activate bradykinin B2 receptors, leading to potent vasodilation, improved microcirculation, and the promotion of angiogenesis and collateral circulation in ischemic brain tissue. Shuxuening injection contains active flavonoid glycosides and terpene lactones (ginkgolides) that provide neuroprotection by antagonizing platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptors, scavenging free radicals, and inhibiting inflammatory responses. The combination is primarily investigated for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke to enhance cerebral perfusion and improve neurological recovery.
