Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Taiji Huoxiang Zhengqi Oral Liquid is a traditional Chinese patent medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Taiji Group. It is an alcohol-free, liquid formulation of the classic 'Huoxiang Zhengqi' formula, which dates back to the Song Dynasty. The formulation consists of multiple herbal ingredients, including Pogostemon cablin (patchouli oil), Perilla frutescens (perilla leaf oil), Atractylodes macrocephala, Magnolia officinalis, Citrus reticulata (tangerine peel), Poria cocos, Angelica dahurica, and Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice extract). It is widely used to treat the common cold (particularly gastrointestinal colds), summer dampness syndrome, heatstroke, and various gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, and diarrhea. The oral liquid works by regulating gastrointestinal motility, protecting the intestinal mucosal barrier, and modulating the gut microbiota and immune microenvironment.
