Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HVT + ND vaccine is a combined veterinary vaccine developed by Middle East for Vaccines (MEVAC) for the protection of poultry against Marek's disease and Newcastle disease. The vaccine typically utilizes a recombinant Herpesvirus of Turkeys (HVT) as a viral vector to express protective antigens, such as the fusion (F) protein, from the Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV). This viral vector platform allows the vaccine to be administered early in the production cycle, often via in-ovo injection or to day-old chicks at the hatchery. It is designed to induce long-lasting immunity while overcoming the interference of maternally derived antibodies, which is a common challenge in young poultry.
