Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Hyalograft C** is a patient-specific, matrix-associated autologous chondrocyte transplantation product for surgical cartilage repair. It contains autologous chondrocytes harvested from the patient, expanded ex vivo, and seeded onto a three-dimensional HYAFF-11 scaffold composed of esterified hyaluronic acid; the implanted construct is intended to fill focal cartilage defects and support regeneration of cartilage-like tissue. It was developed for symptomatic traumatic full-thickness cartilage defects of the medial or lateral femoral condyle or trochlea of the knee in adults. The product is a combined advanced therapy medicinal product because the cell therapy incorporates a scaffold medical device.
