Overview

**Hyaluronidase + triamcinolone** is a combination of two drugs used primarily in dermatology and musculoskeletal medicine. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid in the extracellular matrix, increasing tissue permeability and enhancing the dispersion and absorption of co-administered drugs. Triamcinolone is a synthetic corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory properties, commonly used to reduce inflammation, suppress immune responses, and treat various inflammatory conditions. When combined, these agents are administered via intralesional or intra-articular injection to treat conditions such as keloids, hypertrophic scars, and adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder). The combination leverages the anti-inflammatory effects of triamcinolone with the spreading/enhancing action of hyaluronidase for improved efficacy and reduced side effects compared to monotherapy[4][5][7].
