Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hydralazine + amlodipine is a combination of two antihypertensive medications used to treat high blood pressure. Hydralazine is a direct vasodilator that works by relaxing blood vessels, while amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that inhibits calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, resulting in vasodilation. This combination may be used when other blood pressure medications have not provided adequate control.
