Hydroxychloroquine + dexamethasone is a combination therapeutic regimen being investigated for the treatment of antinuclear antibody (ANA)-positive primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Hydroxychloroquine is an established antimalarial and immunomodulatory small molecule that inhibits lysosomal activity and Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling, particularly TLR7 and TLR9.
