Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hypoxic mesenchymal stem cell conditioned medium is a cell-free biologic developed by Stem Cell and Cancer Research (SCCR) Indonesia. It consists of the secretome harvested from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) that have been preconditioned under hypoxic (low oxygen) environments. This preconditioning enhances the paracrine secretion of various pro-regenerative factors, most notably Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). The therapeutic mechanism involves the activation of angiogenic pathways to promote the formation of new blood vessels and accelerate the repair of damaged tissue. Primarily investigated for wound healing, this cell-free approach aims to deliver the regenerative benefits of stem cell therapy without the complexities and safety concerns associated with live cell transplantation.
