Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HZ-H08905 is a selective histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor developed by Hangzhou Hezheng Pharmaceutical for the treatment of hematological malignancies. It specifically targets HDAC isoforms 1, 2, 3, and 10, which are key epigenetic regulators involved in gene expression, cell cycle control, and apoptosis. By inhibiting these enzymes, HZ-H08905 induces histone hyperacetylation, leading to the reactivation of tumor suppressor genes and the induction of programmed cell death in malignant cells. The drug is currently in Phase 3 clinical development for relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), where it is being evaluated in a head-to-head comparison against chidamide (tucidinostat), the standard of care in China. It is also being investigated in Phase 1/2 trials for other types of relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
