Drug intelligence / Profile preview
I123MNI388 + I123MNI390 is a combination of two radiopharmaceutical imaging agents labeled with iodine-123. These compounds are typically used in nuclear medicine for diagnostic imaging, particularly for brain imaging to assess amyloid plaque burden in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. Both MNI-388 and MNI-390 are small molecules designed to bind specifically to amyloid-beta plaques, and the use of the radioactive isotope iodine-123 allows visualization via single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The combination may be used together to improve sensitivity or specificity of amyloid detection.
