IAE0972 + gemcitabine

IAE0972 + gemcitabine is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of various advanced and metastatic cancers. IAE0972 is a first-in-class EGFR-IL10 immunocytokine developed by SunHo using their proprietary Armed ImmunoCytokine (AICTM) platform. It combines an anti-EGFR antibody with interleukin-10 (IL10), aiming to overcome immune cell exhaustion in the tumor microenvironment and enhance antigen-specific CD8+ T cell activity. The anti-EGFR component targets and enriches the drug in EGFR-positive tumors, while IL10 reinvigorates exhausted T cells to restore their tumor-killing function. Gemcitabine is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor (antimetabolite) used as chemotherapy for several solid tumors; it works by inhibiting DNA synthesis and promoting apoptosis in rapidly dividing cancer cells[1][4][6][8]. The combination leverages both direct cytotoxic effects from gemcitabine and immune modulation from IAE0972.
