IAP0971 + Bacillus Calmette-Guerin is an investigational combination therapy designed for high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), particularly in patients who are unresponsive to or have failed standard BCG treatment. IAP0971 is a fusion protein with dual activity as both an interleukin-15 receptor (IL-15R) agonist and a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitor, aiming to enhance both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune responses. Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) is a live, attenuated strain of *Mycobacterium bovis* widely used as standard intravesical immunotherapy in NMIBC, known to trigger a local immune response in the bladder that targets residual cancer cells. The combination seeks to improve upon outcomes seen with BCG monotherapy by integrating immune checkpoint inhibition and cytokine-mediated immune enhancement.
