Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and isosorbide dinitrate, a nitric oxide donor. This combination has been studied for the treatment of muscular dystrophies, particularly Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The combination works through complementary mechanisms where isosorbide dinitrate promotes vasodilation and improves blood flow while ibuprofen provides anti-inflammatory effects.
