icrucumab + ramucirumab

**Icrucumab + ramucirumab** is a combination of two recombinant human IgG1 monoclonal antibodies evaluated in phase II trials for advanced cancers. Icrucumab (IMC-18F1) specifically binds **VEGFR-1** to block VEGF ligand interactions, inhibiting endothelial cell proliferation and migration, while ramucirumab binds **VEGFR-2** to prevent VEGF-A, VEGF-C, and VEGF-D binding, thereby suppressing tumor angiogenesis pathways. Developed by **Eli Lilly and Company**, this duo targets complementary VEGF receptors to enhance antiangiogenic effects but showed no significant PFS or OS improvement over capecitabine monotherapy in pretreated metastatic breast cancer patients.[1][5]
