ID93 + GLA-SE (QTP101) is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine candidate for the prevention of tuberculosis (TB). The vaccine consists of a fusion protein (ID93) composed of four *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* antigens—Rv3619, Rv1813, Rv3620, and Rv2608—linked in tandem. It is formulated with the adjuvant GLA-SE (glucopyranosyl lipid adjuvant-stable emulsion), which acts as a synthetic Toll-like receptor 4 agonist to enhance immune responses. QTP101 is designed as a booster for individuals previously vaccinated with BCG, aiming to improve protection against TB in adolescents and adults where BCG efficacy wanes. Preclinical and clinical studies have shown that QTP101 induces strong Th1-type cellular immunity and antigen-specific antibody responses without cross-reactivity to standard TB diagnostic tests. Quratis holds development rights for QTP101 in 17 Asian countries; NIAID/NIH has also been involved in its development[1][3][4][5][6].
