Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IIC1-Peking University-digestive system tumor refers to a specific treatment cohort (Cohort IIC1) within a Phase I clinical trial (NCT06380309) evaluating the combination of IDOV-SAFE, toripalimab, and fruquintinib. IDOV-SAFE is an investigational oncolytic vaccinia virus designed to selectively replicate in and destroy cancer cells while stimulating a systemic anti-tumor immune response. Toripalimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, blocking its interaction with PD-L1 and PD-L2 to restore T-cell activity. Fruquintinib is a highly selective small molecule inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, -2, and -3), which inhibits tumor angiogenesis. This triple combination is being investigated for advanced malignant solid tumors, particularly digestive system cancers such as microsatellite stable (MSS) colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, in patients who have failed standard therapies.
