Overview

IGFBPL1 (A*02) CAR-T is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Myrio Therapeutics for the treatment of neuroblastoma and other pediatric cancers. The therapy utilizes CAR-T cells engineered to recognize a specific peptide derived from Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-like 1 (IGFBPL1) when presented by the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) allele A*02. This approach allows the T cells to target intracellular or membrane-associated proteins that are processed and presented as MHC-peptide complexes, expanding the targetable proteome beyond surface antigens. Upon recognition of the IGFBPL1-HLA-A*02 complex, the CAR-T cells mediate targeted cytotoxic killing of the tumor cells.
