Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Arch Biopartners is developing a therapeutic platform targeting interleukin-32 (IL-32) for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD). IL-32 is a non-classical cytokine involved in regulating inflammation and immune responses, which has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diabetic CKD. The program is a result of a collaboration between the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), Lipdro, and Arch Biopartners. Currently in the preclinical stage, the company is working toward selecting a lead candidate and filing an Investigational New Drug (IND) application with the FDA.
