IMA950 + GM-CSF is a combination immunotherapeutic regimen developed for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). IMA950 is a peptide-based therapeutic cancer vaccine composed of 11 tumor-associated peptides (TUMAPs) identified on human leukocyte antigen (HLA) surface receptors in primary human glioblastoma tissue. The vaccine is designed to stimulate the host immune system to mount cytotoxic T-lymphocyte and T-helper responses against tumor cells expressing these peptides, potentially resulting in decreased tumor growth. Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is used as an adjuvant to enhance the immune response by promoting dendritic cell activation and antigen presentation. Clinical trials have shown that this combination can induce robust multi-TUMAP-specific T-cell responses and has an acceptable safety profile when administered alongside standard chemoradiotherapy in newly diagnosed GBM patients[1][2][3][4].
