Overview

IMC-002 + gemcitabine + carboplatin is an experimental combination therapy comprising IMC-002 (a next-generation anti-CD47 monoclonal antibody), gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog chemotherapy), and carboplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy). IMC-002 is a fully human IgG4 antibody that blocks the CD47–SIRPα interaction, thereby enhancing macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of cancer cells and acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. Gemcitabine inhibits DNA synthesis, while carboplatin induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis. The combination is designed for synergistic anti-tumor activity, notably under investigation for use in solid tumors, but no clinical trial data specifically on this triplet (IMC-002 + gemcitabine + carboplatin) has been published; IMC-002 is in clinical evaluation for various solid tumors primarily as monotherapy or in other combinations[1][2][3][4][5].
