Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Immuncell-LC + gemcitabine is a combination therapy consisting of **Immuncell-LC**, an autologous cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cell immunotherapy, and **gemcitabine**, a standard cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agent. Immuncell-LC is manufactured from a patient’s own peripheral blood mononuclear cells, which are cultured and expanded into effector populations (including cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer-like T cells) with strong anti-cancer activity. The combination targets solid tumors, intending to exploit complementary mechanisms: Immuncell-LC for immune-mediated tumor cytotoxicity, and gemcitabine for direct tumor cell cytotoxicity. This combination is in clinical development for indications including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction[1].
